Introduction

On April 19, 2026, we traveled from Nanjing to Suzhou to attend the 2026 Garden Conference × Garden Design Week at Suzhou International Expo Center. We took the high-speed rail from Nanjing and then continued by metro to the exhibition venue.
For Scarecrow Garden Supplier, this was not a sightseeing visit and it was not an overseas-facing export exhibition. It was a major domestic industry event in China, bringing together garden-related brands, suppliers, designers, and practitioners from across the country. That distinction is important. Because although the event itself was mainly for the Chinese market and domestic industry ecosystem, it gave us valuable first-hand access to product trends, supplier resources, and practical market signals that are highly useful when serving overseas buyers.
We attended with three practical objectives: to understand the current direction of the garden products market, to discover more suppliers and product resources for future cooperation, and to help search for products that may fit the needs of one of our potential customers.
A Large Domestic Industry Event with Strong Market Signals

According to the official event summary, the 2026 Garden Conference × Garden Design Week brought together 100,000+ on-site visits, 50 million+ online impressions, 400+ full-category exhibitors, 40 creative show gardens, 150+ lifestyle market displays, and 20 industry forums and summit activities.
The exhibition covered a broad range of categories, including garden stone, timber, plants, garden home products, outdoor living items, and gardening tools. More importantly, it showed that the garden industry in China is becoming increasingly integrated. It is no longer only about landscaping or material supply. It is increasingly connected to outdoor living, design, lifestyle, and multi-category product coordination.
For overseas buyers, that matters. Because the more integrated the market becomes, the more likely buyers are to source not just one item, but a mix of tools, accessories, décor, outdoor items, and related garden products together.
Why We Attended This Event
1. To Better Understand the Current Garden Products Market
Trade fairs are one of the fastest ways to observe real product direction in a concentrated time period. At the event, we paid attention to what kinds of products were being displayed repeatedly, how different exhibitors positioned their products, which categories appeared more active, and how product presentation reflected changing customer expectations.
This kind of observation helps us stay closer to market reality. It allows us to better understand which garden-related categories are becoming more relevant and which types of products may offer stronger sourcing potential for our overseas customers.

2. To Discover More Suppliers and Expand Our Resource Network
China has a deep supply chain for garden products, but that does not automatically make purchasing simple. In real sourcing work, the challenge is rarely whether a product exists. The challenge is finding suppliers that are suitable for long-term cooperation, communicate clearly, offer stable quality, and can fit into a broader multi-category sourcing plan.
At the exhibition, we used the opportunity to review more suppliers and product resources in person. We paid attention to product quality, category depth, material selection, consistency, display logic, and communication style. These are all useful signals when evaluating whether a supplier may be suitable for future cooperation.
This matters because our work is not limited to forwarding quotations. We are continually building and refining a supply network that can better support buyers who need garden tools, outdoor garden products, and mixed-category sourcing from China.
3. To Search for Products for a Potential Customer
Another practical reason for the trip was to help look for products related to one of our potential customers. Exhibitions like this are valuable because they allow us to compare multiple options in one place, identify similar models more efficiently, and gather direct product information that may help narrow down suitable choices.
In many cases, customers do not simply need a catalog. They need help identifying which model is more practical, which factory looks more suitable, whether multiple items can be sourced together, and how to reduce the time spent speaking with many separate suppliers.

Why This Matters for Overseas Buyers
For overseas distributors, wholesalers, and importers, China offers enormous product variety. But that variety also creates complexity. Buyers often have to compare multiple models, speak with many different factories, review inconsistent quotations, and coordinate samples, specifications, and follow-up across separate contacts.
This challenge becomes even greater in the garden industry, where buyers often purchase more than one category at the same time. A sourcing project may include tools, gloves, watering products, planters, accessories, decorative items, or other outdoor products together.
That is exactly why we continue to strengthen our one-stop sourcing role. We want to help buyers manage a more centralized communication window, reduce repeated back-and-forth, and make mixed-category sourcing in China easier to handle.
Why We Are in a Better Position to Do This
As a China-based sourcing partner, we are naturally in a much more practical position to move between suppliers than overseas buyers are. For a buyer outside China, visiting several factories, comparing products in person, and verifying new suppliers can require long international flights, time-consuming scheduling, higher travel cost, and much more coordination.
For us, it is far easier and more efficient. We can go to industry events like this domestic garden exhibition, visit cooperating factories, check new suppliers, compare products on site, and follow up much more flexibly than a buyer who has to travel back and forth internationally.
That local advantage matters in real sourcing work. It means we can keep getting closer to the market, keep refining supplier options, and respond more practically when customers need support with new categories, new product searches, or supplier screening.

One-Stop Sourcing Is About Better Coordination
When we talk about one-stop sourcing, we do not mean that one factory produces everything. In reality, the strength of China’s supply chain comes from specialization. One supplier may be strong in hand tools, another in watering products, another in outdoor accessories, and another in decorative or lifestyle categories.
What buyers often need is not fewer product choices, but better coordination. They need someone who can help compare options, organize communication, reduce confusion between models, and make multi-supplier sourcing feel more manageable.
That is the direction we continue to build at Scarecrow Garden Supplier. By staying close to the market and continuing to meet suppliers in person, we strengthen our ability to support customers who want a more organized and lower-risk way to source from China.
What This Visit Confirmed for Us
This visit to Suzhou confirmed three things very clearly. First, the garden industry in China remains active and commercially meaningful. Second, category boundaries are becoming less rigid as tools, materials, décor, and outdoor living products become more connected. Third, as product variety grows, the need for supplier coordination becomes even more important for buyers.
That is why we believe sourcing value today is not only about finding products. It is about reducing complexity, improving communication efficiency, and making repeat purchasing easier to manage.
Conclusion
Our trip from Nanjing to Suzhou was not simply an exhibition visit. It was part of the practical work behind how we serve our customers: staying close to the market, identifying supplier opportunities, looking for products for real customer projects, and improving how we support one-stop sourcing for overseas buyers.
Although this was a domestic China industry event rather than an overseas trade exhibition, it was exactly the kind of place where we could gather useful sourcing insight, observe current product direction, and strengthen the supplier side of our work.
